DARC AND AL ok. Darc assumes Al is human under that armor. He'll be able to tell it's hollow if he ever hits him, in which case he'll be "?!!" for a bit but that's yet to come.

The first thing to know about Darc when it comes to humans is, he hasn't been exposed to that many of them, but hates them for what he's been exposed to. He saw his first humans when he was 17, which is still his current age. So it's a NEW-ISH THING. It's actually not that blind a hatred no matter what tirade he can get himself going into (a lot of his hatred stems from uh, Kharg). The difference between him and Kharg is that, while he ASSUMES all humans are evil fuckers that want to kill/steal from/torture/experiment/use Deimos, when presented with a human that DOESN'T do that, he can tell right away and isn't suspicious of backstabbery for long. He's surprised or confused and generally taken aback, every time he meets a human that is not an asshole. And he wholly thinks that every single human he meets that ISN'T a fucker is An Exception To The Rule, instead of changing his mind. (he has a hard time reconciling "I want to kill all humans" with "I want to protect so-and-so-human :(" too. Party member calls him on it and he stutters.)

While Darc hasn't been personally affronted by humans as much as Deimos (other than being half-one), his exposure to humans amounts to: looters, military slaughtering his villages, military slaughtering helpless old Deimos, military doing horrible experiments on Deimos, villagers freaking the fuck out at him while he dropped off his mom, Kharg and his party, his mom, annnnd Lilia. ONE of these is is a good experience (HINT: IT'S NOT KHARG). He's not scared of humans at all, not by a long shot - Darc really doesn't get... scared. SUSPICIOUS YES. And wary! But it's not so much that humans have made his life miserable (Deimos have), as much as all his exposure to humans has been terrible. SO, Al was right there.

Al is an exception. Most of the humans Darc has met are exceptions, sob. Not because he's a jesus or anything, but because he did a few things that humans Darc encounters NEVER do! Which starts at talking to him in the first place, beyond "IT'S A DEIMOS KILL IT" or "OH GOD A DEIMOS RUN." Followed closely by, asking him if he was hurt. Waht? The reason Darc like, IS TOTALLY UNSURE ABOUT HOW TO RESPOND TO THAT, is cuz... nobody... does that. lols. His party cares! Sometimes! And Lilia cares! B-but he honestly doesn't know what to do with a human that bothers to concern himself with not only talking to Darc, but inquiring about him as an individual/accusing him of not being a bad person, etc. ... usually his reaction when this happens is to just shout I'M A DEIMOS \o/ but that doesn't hold any meaning for Al. orz

SO BASICALLY... Al made a. Good impression? Yah it's a good impression, uh, relatively. Darc is prickly in ALL DIRECTIONS but not so much because he IS prickly, he just is very unsure as to... how it... works. But no matter what he says, he IS concerned about camp; Deimos and humans living peacefully together is a miracle to him, and he doesn't want the Deimos OR humans living peacefully here to be hurt. So he's glad there are protectors like Al there. I wouldn't say that he's... curious about Al... so much as currently wondering if he would be useful to him somehow, and extremely awkward about. The whole thing. Happening. At all.
